Politics is about principles or money?

Our conscience always reminds us the importance of principles. But, principles are hard to follow. Even if politicians make up their mind to strictly adhere to principles, there are several factors like their ever-increasing quench for luxury and status, influence of superiors, an individual’s compulsion to stick to the rules of his/her party-override their decision to follow principles. They get trapped in the cobweb of money; and eventually-money becomes the governing factor for politics.One of the most obvious statements on how politics has to be is, “Politics is all about principles”. However, this is not true in real time!
