A bandh will never help anyone, but the cause and outcome expected out of it will certainly help, and people are optimistic about it reaping fruits in the long run.15 days of bandh for children? But I still say that they would pull it off,and then the real concern should be if an year is wasted away from a kids life, and if bandhs would have resulted in such a situation, people in telangana would have never opted for bandhs.
I would request you to dig these questions or file an RTI for facts speak more than mockery.
1) What is the percentage of government degree colleges in districts like Krishna, kadapa and Guntur when compared to regions in telangana?
2) Do you know the percentage of people who have emigrated from Mahaboobnagar district alone in search
of daily labour? No other district in this state had such a fate.
3) Water – True that there is lot of considerable water potential in telangana, but unless refined and
elevated even you are nothing more than a dead rock.
Unfortunately the vast resources in this region have never been utilized ,to their fullest potential ,for people who most deserved and required them.
By the way, don’t forget to check the architecture of Nagarjuna Sagara Dam,the water inflow and outflow…and what role does the left canal play, and also the method of irrigation currently in place in both the regions. That should say it all.
Underdeveloped regions are everywhere, but you should check and compare the ratio of underdevelopment which is approx 7:3 btwn these two regions.Given the plight of rayalaseema too, rayalatelangana would be good option as their concerns need to be addressed too. Demands will still remain even after telangana, but when people had no other option, they unfortunately had choosen the last option – Telangana.
Otherwise,Why would anyone bother to burn themselves down?
Yes,I agree that KCR and his followers are sick, and I never support those politicians who enact as if they are fighting for this place, and have never done anything in action. But,the cause is out of despair, followed by prolonged hope and expectations getting killed with time.
The demand of telangana was made keeping in view of the fact that this region deserves fair share of resources born in its womb.Everyone should recollect that there were wide range of consultations and submissions made with the government about the plight of this region years before the agitation took this turn. The situation you are seeing now,was not something which was built and formed overnight.
All other options which you people love had already been tried and tested, but were never respected.None have been addressed, and worst…the gentleman’s agreement of 1956 was never respected but was only violated.
